Bassist Anders Iwers (known from his work with Tiamat, Avatarium and Ceremonial Oath) has officially joined Dark Tranquillity as a full time band member after spending quite time playing bass on live shows with the band. The announcement was made recently. Daniel Antonsson had been the previous full-time bassist of the Swedish group.

Gothenburg sons Dark Tranquillity are facing a major line-up change. They just lost their founding member Martin Henriksson. From 1989 to 1998, he played bass in the band and then switched to guitar. The charismatic guitarist amicably left the band a couple of months ago after he lost the passion for playing music. The band is currently putting the finishing touches on the material for their next album.

The band is kicking off their North American tour in a couple weeks where they will be selling a 7" single called A Memory Construct exclusively on the road. The single will be available digitally on March 3rd in Europe. Recorded during the Construct sessions, it contains two songs, it is limited to 500 copies worldwide and is available on a transparent red wax. Featured tracks are "A Memory Construct" and "Sorrows Architect", previously only available as a limited flexi 7" released with issue #106 of Decibel magazine.
